ECDM’s Manifesto of Destiny

Hello world!. ERITREAN CIVIC DEMOCRATIC MOVEMENT (ECDM) is an autonomous and non-profit civic movement. It is independent of any government, political affiliation, economic interest or religion. It is founded in August 1st,2011 by Eritrean exiles in Europe, Canada and USA in response to the absence of civil, civic and democratic rights of citizens and lack of rule of law in Eritrea. The foundation of the movement is the principle that Eritreans should join their efforts in order to realize their dreams of sustainable democracy and lasting peace especially in Eritrea and generally in the Horn of Africa. All its members are Eritreans who accept the civic nationalism ideology and who are willing to mobilize, organize, educate and empower the Eritrean grassroots. It is the belief of ECDM that Eritrea to be a civic nation state, a sustainable democracy, rule of law and respect of human and democratic rights can only be achieved through non-violent, and participation of the general oppressed people.
we are civic minded grassroots movement and this is our blog where we will post the experiences that we come through and the ideas that cross our minds. Sharing experience and information is the bloodline and engine of modern life. Eritreancdm NEWSROOM — As concerned and committed Eritreans, we will inform the world starting today and through this blog on what is taking place in one of the most secretive countries in the world : our beloved Eritrea. Facts, and not opinions. Reality, and not fantasies. In our posts, on a regular basis, we will bring to our readers exclusive News, Breaking News, Photos and Videos from inside and outside the country, while remaining anonymous for obvious security reasons until our identity can at last be revealed. Eritreancdm intends to be Eritrea’s first real-time news agency, opening a breach in a sealed-off and thus forgotten nation.

Our Ideological and Political Philosophy briefly:-
We believe that:….

A. We struggled for independence to restore our freedoms, dignities, and rights because we are convinced that we are born free and equal. Hence, no Eritrean should be denied any of the rights and freedoms enshrined in the ratified Eritrean constitution, and the rights and freedoms stipulated in both the United Nation’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the African Union’s African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights.
B. Our political ideology believe and movement is civic nationalism, to build modern civic state, civic-minded citizens and civic nation.
C. We hold firmly to the belief that every opposition force, be it a group or an individual has contributed to bring the current system to an end.
D.A serious engagement in the politics of peace building and reconciliation is the only route to national unity.
E. Except for handful people the Eritrean population i.e. the civilian population, the army, the members of PFDJ, the Diaspora and the students are all victims of the current regime.
F. Our motto is ‘peaceful coexistence’ between our neighbor as with in our self
G. We should work with the international community to resolve the current border dispute with Ethiopia in accordance to the binding verdict of the international court of arbitration and restore good relationship with Ethiopia.
H. All Eritreans who left the country should return and leave normal lives irrespective of political inclination, religion, gender or ethnicity.
I. The Eritrean diversity within unity is our strength
J. Our highest political notes is to save the weak citizens and empower them with subjective consciousness.
